Convicted Abuser in Hot Water Again - China Living a Life of Neglect - CALL TO ACTION!

Otis ClarkLast August, after pleading no contest to animal abuse, in a move that angered a nation, Otis Clarke Jr. regained custody of China, the dog he was convicted on abusing. Now he’s facing animal abuse charges again as it looks like China, the dog he so loved that he refused to surrender, is living a life of neglect, dirty, wet, no food and living outside without a pen, which could be in violation of terms set out by the judge. Clark also failed to license China or take her to a veterinarian, as directed by the court.

China - Abused DogJudge Rob Lyons was highly criticized by animal lovers, advocacy groups and the public in general after he disregarded cries for justice for China and returned China to the home of Otis Clark Jr., 48, in the Butler County village of Somerville.

In March of 2007, China was found wandering the streets of Somerville, OH with a chain embedded in her neck which had to be surgically removed.

“(The wound) was so infected, it cleared the office out,” said Jim Wolfe, a volunteer at the animal shelter. “(The smell) was terrible.”

The probation that Clark received was based on the following; that Clark reimburse Gordon’s agency for China’s care, take China for veterinary checkups every 90 days, have her licensed and not keep her chained up outside. In addition, Lyons ordered Clark ‘to read the book on dog care given to him by the court and remain subject to random home visits by a probation officer.

Animal rights activists outraged by the dog’s return to its owner in August 2007, this week spoke out about the animal’s condition.

“We were really hoping that (Clark) and his family would have given China a good life,” said Animal Friends Humane Society Director Leland Gordon. “Unfortunately, China once again ended up as a lawn ornament.”

Clark is due in court on May 15 to face charges for failing to secure a license or take it for a court-ordered checkup.

A Butler County Dog Warden’s report states the dog, a white shepherd named China, was found in questionable conditions — dirty water, no food and a neck stained from the ink on its collar — after a complaint April 23 .

On Monday, April 28, deputies learned that the dog’s owner may have sold it for $500.

It’s a travesty that China was ever returned to Clark in the first place, now is the time to demand justice!! Demand that Clark be prosecuted! Demand that China be surrendered, wherever she is, to the Humane Society so that she has a chance at a decent life!

Those Cute Puppy Ads & Websites: Reality vs. Hype - Puppy Mills Exposed! VIDEO

Cute Puppy for SaleDue to the latest rage influenced by Hollywood celebs and socialites, tiny, cute, cuddly puppies are in big demand. Big demand equals are big money makers and unscrupulous breeders are gonna make sure they get their green. Websites and ads are popping up all over the place and those cute little puppies can also be seen in any petstore that sells puppies to the unwary.

If you’ve ever browsed the internet maybe you’ve seen some of those websites with all the adorable pictures of puppies and read about how they’re raised in family homes, given love and attention, are happy and healthy. Those cute little puppy faces just steal your heart and who wouldn’t love a puppy raised with such love.

The thing is, the reality behind those websites and ads and even pet stores claiming the same thing is nothing but a bunch of BS and hype! What really lays behind those cute puppies, the harsh cruel reality is often hundreds of dogs and puppies stuffed in cages as you’ll soon see.

An undercover investigation showed these realities about a couple of breeders and also showed their carefully written, well crafted hype as the BS it was!

One of the kennels under investigation was World Kennel USA, a breeder near Palmdale. World Kennel USA’s website (which oddly enough is no longer up and running) claimed to be written by a girl named Kelly who said that she and her parents raise their dogs in their home in a loving atmosphere. They say their puppies are carefully bred–in the house with constant attention.

Investigation showed a picture much different than what was painted with the pretty words on the website, dogs in cage after cage after cage.
