Hi, my name is Deanna Raeke and I live in beautiful central Wisconsin with two of the true loves of my life….. Jezzie and Bruti, two beautiful English Springer Spaniels as well as 2 cats, an African Gray Parrot and my dear other half who for some reason puts up with me and my eccentricities!
I am a part of a wonderful online community, Dogster, where I’ve met many wonderful dog parents and have built some incredible friendships with people all across the country and world! We all have one thing in common, we love our dogs… totally, completely and often with a great passion.
I will be dedicated to bring you current dog news and information, tips and articles on health, nutrition and training, information on shelters, rescues and adoption. I have strong feelings about animal welfare and believe it’s important that dog and animal lovers help to raise public awareness regarding these issues so you will also find articles, information and links about these subjects especially puppy mills, dog and animal cruelty, current petitions and laws and legislations.

I was so happy to see you were from Wisconsin! I love hearing that fellow dog lovers are around. I just wanted you to know, that although I’ve always been for animal rights, I’ve never done anything about it…until your website. It’s full of such horrible stories that need to be told. I’ve shed many tears reading them, and they inspired me to make the pet world a better place. Since viewing your website I’ve volunteered as a dog walker at my local shelter. It’s not much…but it’s my contribution.
It makes me very happy that my site could prove an inspiration and trust me, to you it may not be much but to those dogs, I bet it means a lot. Everything that every person does counts, especially since there are so many who do nothing including just taking the time to read and care.
