Man Stomps 8 Week Old Puppy to Death

Timothy LoftisWe got us another big, bad man here! Timothy Ray Loftis, 21, of Bessemer City, NC, stomped a tiny 8 week old Chihuahua puppy to death after it urinated in the house. Oh yeah, he’s a tough guy alright!

Loftis’ girlfriend, Crystal Williams had gotten the puppy for her 1 1/2 year old daughter, they named it Tequilla. It was so tiny it could fit in the palm of a person’s hand

On Thursday, Williams went running to her mother saying that Loftis had killed the tiny puppy. Williams’ mother, Sherry Thomas confronted Loftis.

“I said ‘Timmy, why would you do something like that? You knew she loved that dog,’” Thomas said.

“Its eyeball was hanging from its head,” Thomas said. “That was just really cruel.”

Gaston County Police charged Loftis, 21, of the 600 block of South 12th Street, with felony cruelty to animals Thursday.

“Upon arrival, I spoke to the defendant, who said, ‘Is this about that dog. Yeah, I killed the SOB,’” wrote officer J.T. Lubert in his warrant affidavit.

Loftis did not use the abbreviation in talking with Lubert, according to the arrest warrant.

“While en route to the jail, the defendant stated, ‘Goin to jail, and I didn’t even kill no dog.’”

After this the defendant reportedly stated, “‘Ain’t this some s—. I been to jail three times for assault on a female and now I’m goin for killing a dog,’” according to Lubert’s warrant affidavit.

Man Guilty of Animal Cruelty - Beat Chihuahua to Death with Shovel

Joseph Trujillo Joseph Trujillo was a real big, bad man last November when he took his mother-in-law’s little Chihuahua, Chicolin, into an alley and beat it to death with a shovel then tossed its battered and broken body into a trash dumpster.

Chicolin, a five year old stray Chihuahua that Elaine Ulibarri took in when he wandered into her yard was by all accounts a feisty little dog but was well loved as were all the dogs that Ulibarri had.

“He was a little orphan who wandered into my yard,” she tearfully testified. “I took him in. I really miss that little dog.”

On that fateful November 4th, Trujillo, whose wife said didn’t like the little dog, grabbed him by the scruff of the neck, took him out to the ally where a neighbor actually saw him bash the dog on the head four or five time.

At the time of Trujillo’s arrest, Eric Bernal, was going to report the incident anonymously but when Trujillo continued to claim he was being falsely accused, Bernel decided he would testify in court.

“I know he’s lying because I watched him do it,” Eric Bernal said. “I actually saw him carrying the dog to back by the scruff of the neck. The dog was yelping or screaming. It was really disturbing.”

Trujillo’s wife Carla testified that he didn’t like the dog, that once when it defecated in the basement of the house they shard with her mother, he took the dog’s feces and mixed it in with food and fed it to the dogs.

Man Brutally Kills Dog - Couldn’t Afford Surrender Fee - VIDEO

William Jenkins bludgeoned his dog rather than surrender itStories like this and people like this just make me sick! Rather than to try to find any options or talk to the humane society, William Jenkins, 44, of Fort Myers, FL, decided to brutally bludgeon his dog to death because he “couldn’t afford the surrender fee.”

Jenkins actually took the dog to the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers but when asked to wait during the intake, he left. The last anyone saw the dog alive, he was in the front seat of Jenkins’ vehicle.

“He was hanging out of the window like a normal dog - tongue waving in the breeze and ears flapping,” said Aimee LaLonde, a shelter employee.

The next thing witnesses saw was Jenkins taking the dog into the wood, just a couple hundred yards down the road from the shelter, where he would have had a chance. When Jenkins game out of the woods, he was alone. He’d beaten the dog to death and buried its body in a shallow grave.

No Charges for Deputy Who Owned Abused Dog, Hannah - PETITION

Hannah, abused and neglect - being denied justice Hannah, a 4 yr old GSD, previously owned by a Tattnall County, GA deputy/K-9 handler, turned into Animal Control facility pregnant, severely emaciated, weighing only 41 lbs, heartworm positive and showing signs of longterm kenneling, among numerous other medical problems, will receive no justice from Tattnall County. DA Tom Durden has decided NOT to press charges.

For the full background, please read the original story HERE.

The Tattnall County Deputy/K-9 handler who owned Hannah (originally named Huanna), Ramsey Arnold, claims he owned Hannah for only three months.

“I got her from another law enforcement officer, K-9 handler, breeder, trainer. It wasn’t connected with the sheriff’s office. I asked the man I got Huanna from if anything was wrong with her. He said ‘no, she was just naturally small’ and that he used her as a breeding dog,” Arnold said.

Arnold said he took good care of her and never had time to do any of the things he was accused of including breed her.

If that’s the case;

  • Call after call was made to DA Tom Durden prior to ‘going public’ with this story with requests for information but for some reason no information was forthcoming until now, when a major media outlet gets involved.
  • If Deputy Ramsey Arnold had Hannah for three months why was she still severely emaciated? She weighed only 41 pounds when she was turned over to animal control. Protruding ribs is a pretty sure sign of malnourishment. “Long term starvation” was what the vet said who examined her. In the short time that she was fostered and adopted, she was able to easily put on weight and become much more healthy.
  • If Deputy Ramsey Arnold had her for even only three months, why had she not been vetted? Any decent responsible vet would have been blind not to see the severe problems Hannah had.
  • How could a K-9 handler, someone who should know something about dogs, not know that she was pregnant? A dog’s gestation is approximately 63 days, Deputy Arnold claims he had her for 3 months, if he didn’t breed her, how did she get pregnant to give birth to three stillborn puppies shortly after she arrived at animal control?
  • If in fact Hannah was in such deplorable condition when she was given to Deputy Ramsey, there is still someone out there responsible for her condition, for the abuse she suffered. Who is this person, this “law enforcement officer, K-9 handler, breeder, trainer.”
  • Perhaps Deputy Arnold is not guilty of the long term problems that Hannah suffered from but she was still starved, not medically cared for and had been bred while in his custody. These facts do not speak of innocence to me!

And now, despite almost 1500 signatures on a PETITION at this time, asking for Justice for Hannah, Tattnall County DA had decided not to press charges against the deputy.

Puppy Found Beaten and Duct Taped

9 Month Old puppy, beaten and duct taped What kind of a sick and twisted person would do something so cruel and vicious as to duct tape a puppy’s front and hind legs, wrap tape around it’s head and beat it almost to death?

That’s what some farm workers found this morning off the roadway near a hops field close to the intersection of VanSlyke and Middle roads in Canyon County, Idaho.

The puppy, a shepherd mix, approximately 9 months old was alive when found but severely injured and a large amount of blood was found near the neck and head of the dog. Due to the extent of his injuries he was euthanized at Canyon County Animal Shelter.

Dogfighting - The Cruel Facts and Realities!

.

WARNING - CONTAINS GRAPHIC IMAGES!!

DogfightingDogfighting is illegal in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and the federal Animal Welfare Act prohibits the interstate transportation of dogs for fighting purposes. Forty-eight (48) states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands have made dogfighting a felony offense. Forty-seven (47) states, the District of Columbia, and the Virgin Islands prohibit the possession of dogs for fighting. And 48 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands prohibit being a spectator at a dogfight.

What is Dogfighting?

What is dogfighting?Dogfighting is a sadistic “contest” in which two dogs — specifically bred, conditioned, and trained to fight — are placed in a pit (generally a small enclosed area) to fight each other, for the purpose of entertainment and gambling by the “spectators”. Fights can average nearly an hour in length and often last more than two hours. Dogfights end when one of the dogs is no longer willing or able to continue. Dog fighting is prevalent EVERYWHERE… from the most urban of neighborhoods to the deep backwoods.

Dog Fighting - Animal Cruelty

Dogfighting realitiesThe injuries inflicted and sustained by dogs participating in dogfights are frequently severe, including deep puncture wounds and broken bones, and some are even fatal. Dogs used in these “events” often die of blood loss, shock, dehydration, exhaustion, or infection hours or even days after the fight.

Other animals - besides the actual fight dogs - are often sacrificed as well. Some owners train their dogs for fights using smaller animals such as cats, rabbits, or small dogs. These “bait” animals are often stolen pets or animals obtained through “free to good home” advertisements.

SPCA Seeks Driver of Truck that Deliberately Ran Over, Killed Dog

In Monterey County, CA, SPCA officers actually saw the driver of a white Ford four-door pickup deliberately swerve to hit and run over a dog about 11 a.m. Tuesday on Chualar River Road, just east of the Salinas River bridge and they’re offering $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. Another sick bastard out for his jollies killing a defenseless animal!

The truck had tinted windows and was towing irrigation poles with a yellow “wide load” sign on the front grille.

The brown-and-white female pointer was running away from the man down the road at the time, the SPCA reported.

Despite emergency veterinary treatment, she died at 11:40 a.m. at the SPCA.

SPCA Officer Danielle Scheid said she was returning with another officer from a well-being check on several horses in south Monterey County when they spotted the loose dog.

The two officers made a U-turn to pick up the dog, but as they approached, they saw the dog trying to get away from the truck. That’s when they say the man swerved to run over the dog.

UPDATE - Marc Andre LaPorte; Sentenced & Dogs Safe

Rescued Fox Terrier matted and covered in excrementIn November 2005, over 100 dogs were rescued from a Blainsville, Canada home that was later demolished due to such extreme deplorable conditions and these were the conditions these dogs were living in. There were corpses of deceased dogs in different stages of decomposition within a sea of filth, as the living dogs ate their remains.

Owner of the ‘Hell Home’ and breeder, Marc Andre LaPorte actually petitioned to have 18 dogs returned to him. A petition was circulated and received over 14 thousand signatures in an effort to protect the dogs from being returned to LaPorte. The public’s cry for justice and safety for the dogs was heard. Although under the law, maximum punishment would never amount to much more than a wrist slap, the judge did what he could do.

Update on NC Trooper Fired for Animal Abuse - Hear What are People Saying!!! VIDEO - PETITION

Sgt. Charles JonesSince I wrote the story yesterday on NC Trooper, former Sgt. Charles Jones being fired for hanging and kicking his K-9 partner, Richo, I have been following the following the story and looking at what people are saying.

Sadly and to my disgust, it seems that many of his fellow troopers find no fault in the use of these abusive techniques and feel that kicking, beating and even choking are acceptable methods of training a K-9 partner.

Dog handlers for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol have stunned dogs with tasers, swung them by their leashes until they became airborne and hit them with plastic bottles full of pebbles.

None of that was an issue until a trooper used his cell phone to record a video of a sergeant kicking his police dog repeatedly while it was leashed to a loading dock, its hind legs just touching the ground.

What is wrong with these people, these officers of the law who are supposed to protect and serve?? How can they possibly not only condone, but also do the same thing to one degree or another?!

Many of the highway patrol members said they’ve seen similar training techniques as demonstrated in the cell phone video. Some said they have kicked dogs and some said, while they’ve never done exactly what Charles Jones did when he left Richo to hang for a few seconds, they did not consider it abusive. (NBC17)

Thankfully during the hearing State Attorney Ashby Ray did go through a list of other highway patrol members who were on record saying the treatment of Richo, as seen in the cell phone video, was “excessive.”So at least we can see that this mentality has not permeated the entire force!

Watch the new video and tell me what you think, then read on to see what the public, the people who are paying these men to protect and serve, is saying!

NC Trooper Fired for Abuse Suing to Get Job Back - Call to Action - VIDEO

Sgt. Charles Jones show hanging and kicking K-9 partnerAre our law enforcement officials to be held above the laws they are sworn to uphold and enforce? Some of them obviously thing so!

A hearing began proceedings Monday in a lawsuit that Jones filed against the state in December, alleging that procedures were violated when he was fired.

In September on 2007, Sgt Charles Jones was fired from his position after he was videotaped on August 8, 2006, hanging and kicking his K-9 partner, a 9 year old Belgian Malinois, because he would drop a toy. This was after he had ‘helicoptored’ the dog, a technique in which a dog is swung off the ground by his leash.Sgt. Charles Jones

The officer who videotaped Jones with his cellphone, Trooper Ray Herndon, was torn and upset over the episode and did what he thought was best.

“I was torn; I didn’t know what to do. Should I go stop him?” Herndon, a 21-year-veteran of the force, testified Monday. “So I did what I thought was right at the time.”

One video shows Jones tying the dog’s leash to a high railing so that only his hind legs touched the ground. He then kicked the dog’s leg four times.

“Then he’d pull him back up a good distance off the ground, using the lead in an attempt to get the dog to lech the toy or let the toy go,” Herndon said. He added that he did not think Jones was intentionally trying to harm or abuse Ricoh.

The second video clip shows Jones apparently leaving the dog alone, hanging upright from its leash and collar. (Digitrad.com)

You can watch one of the video clips below - WARNING - it may disturb some viewers

NC Trooper Abuses K-9 Partner

Jones claims the episode on Aug. 8 was not mistreatment. He contends that he was fired summarily without due process and has appealed to get his job back.

Gage’s Story by Britt Burke

March 12, 2008 was a cool morning (45 degrees) as I drank my coffee on the way to work. Peaceful and calm, with what should have been a great day. The phone rang and my world exploded. My wife was babbling and screaming incoherently into the phone “Gage is dead”. “Gage has been shot.

Shortly after I left for work, my wife had let our Yorkies and Gage out for a quick “potty” break. My wife was at the back of the house when she heard a loud noise come from the back yard. She immediately ran to the back door but Gage was not there. The Yorkies were standing at the door frantically trying to get inside. You could see the awful look of fear in their eyes. She opened the door and yelled for Gage, but for the first time in his life he did not obey. He could not…for he was dying. (Keep in mind, our backyard is over an acre-fenced in)
