This has got to be one of the most sick, brutal cases of abuse I’ve ever heard!! A NC teen shot and beat a pregnant Rottweiler to death then cut her unborn puppies from her body!!

Wesley Logan White of Glen Dancy Road, Wilkesboro, NC, not even 17, committed this atrocity Monday, the 23rd. He claimed to have shot the dog while it was in his yard but evidence and witnesses tell a different story.

At the intersection of Dillard and Glen Dancy Roads, Deputy Clayton Shumate of the Wilkes Sheriff’s Department and David Wagoner of Dillard Road in Hays, found found large puddles of blood in the grass and blood on the road indicating the dog had been dragged from there to White’s house.

Neighbors said that White shot the dog while it was on Dillard road. The dog wasn’t dead when White dragged her about 45 yards, across the road, beat her to death with a mattock and then removed the dog’s unborn puppies.

Shasta Dawn Parnell Shasta Dawn Parnell, 19, of Medford, OR, has been arrested and jailed on a felony aggravated animal abuse charge after she reportedly threw, squeezed and stomped on a tiny Pomeranian puppy.

After a report of animal abuse, police arrived at Medford Shopping Center, near Biddle Road and Stevens Street to find Parnell squeezing the tiny 3 month old, 2 pound puppy till it couldn’t breathe. She refused the officer’s request to hand him the puppy and threw it about ten feet where it landed on the pavement then fought the officer attempting to arrest her. She’s also charged with resisting arrest.

Witnesses told of how the young woman had been throwing the puppy to the ground, stomping on it and swinging it by its leash.

MEg, 10 week old puppy beaten by children What the hell is wrong with children today?! There’s something seriously wrong when you find a gang of children, barely more than babies themselves, 4 and 5 years old, beating a tiny puppy to within an inch of its life!

The RSPCA in the UK is investigating a case in which a group of children armed with sticks savagely beat a 10 week old stray puppy until they were disturbed by a passerby.

The unnamed good Samaritan saw the children beating something on the ground with stick and was stunned to find a quivering, whimpering puppy hurt and in pain. He chased the youngsters off before taking Meg to Rochdale RSPCA centre.

Staff there say it is the most shocking incident of animal cruelty they have ever seen.

Manager Jean Spencer said: “The man came here straight from picking her up. He was in two minds whether to catch the children or rescue the puppy.”

The puppy needed immediate lifesaving surgery and there’s still a question if one of her legs can be saved due to the grievous injuries.

Here’s yet another ’slap on the wrist’ sentence for the unconscionable and cruel killing of a dog by a teenager! Last March, an 18 year old of the 200 block of Fourth Street, East Conemaugh, PA, Klynn M. Cvejkus, entered an unoccupied house and for some sick and twisted reason stuffed a little terrier dog into the washing machine and turned it on.

The dog died as a result. It’s neck was broken. Can you imagine the pain and suffering of this little dog, jammed into a washing machine, tossed and bashed around until it’s neck broke?

Obviously the judge didn’t buy her story of finding the dog already dead on a roadside but neither did he give her much of a punishment. On Thursday she was given one year probation, fined $300, plus administrative fees, by Judge Gerard Long.

And to belittle the poor innocent little dog’s brutal killing even more, under the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program, if she doesn’t do anything else with the next year she will even come out of this with a clean record.

Jane Dog In a crime that literally galvanized the world, 5 young boys, aged 9-14, poured gas on a dog and set it on fire, leaving it to die a cruel and painful death.

Although this horrendous and senseless crime took place in Nashville, TN, pleas came from all over the world, begging that these boys would be sentenced to the maximum punishment for this crime. Sadly, the maximum they could have received was placement in Tennessee Department of Children’s Services custody and not jail time or a record and they didn’t even received that!

This poor abused dog, died, alone and nameless in an alley after being doused with gasoline. These boys get to go back home and sleep in their beds and plot their next crimes.

In court Tuesday, the boys learned they will not face any jail time, but they will be required to go through counseling and evaluations as well as regular check ups with a probation officer although two of the boys have a hearing in May, which could determine whether they’ll have to go into state custody.

You’ve probably heard the names Bundy, Dahmer, Gacy; all names of notorious killers and what do they all have in common? They started out as animal abusers. What about the names; Kip Kinkle and Luke Woodham or Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold? Not quite so well known except in some circles and in the minds and memories of their victims’ families. These two pairs of names belong to teenage boys who went on killing sprees, the second pair are the infamous Columbine High School killers. What do they all have in common? They all tortured and killed animals, sometimes bragging to their friends.

Tortured dogNow what about the names; Dasha Lombard, James Manzanares, and Nicholas Stogdon? Probably not unless you live in Alamogordo, MN and either know them or were paying attention to the news in late spring in this year, 2007. They are three ‘children,’ aged 15, 14 and 13, at the time, who found a wandering puppy and decided to have some fun. They taped the dog’s muzzle shut with packing tape, stabbed her with a knife and screwdriver and proceeded to drop a 40 lb concrete block on her. When questioned about it, the response was, ‘It was just a f—— dog!” These ‘children’ were completely unaffected by the torture they inflicted on this innocent and defenseless animal.

Bill Whiting with his dog, EdnaBill Whiting was distraught when his dog, Edna, got out on Halloween night. He searched everywhere and put up lost dog flyers with a reward. When he got a phone call on November 10, it was one of the worst thing he can remember. Two teens calling to extort money from him to return his missing Edna.

“I was to bring cash, by myself,” at midnight to a location Whiting could not decipher.

Whiting agreed to pay the money but not to a midnight meeting. “They said they wanted the money now, and told me they’d kill the dog, repeating, ‘You don’t believe me, Mister, let me hurt it so you can hear.’ “

Whiting heard Edna yelp in pain. When he heard the jingling of her tags, Whiting knew they had his beloved little brown dog.

“I couldn’t believe how evil he was,” says Whiting. “He said, ‘You know, Mister, I want to kill your dog.’ “

Whiting pleaded with them not to hurt Edna, offering to give them even more than $600 if they would keep Edna safe until the morning.

The line went dead.

Then a final call later telling him that Edna was dead. He was heartbroken.

Tobey In the case that sparked nation and worldwide response in which three teens, 12, 14 and 16 years old in Guadalupe County, TX, brutally tortured and killed Tobey, a tiny Pomeranian mix puppy, ‘justice’ has been handed down. If that’s what you can call it!! I have no doubt there will be a great deal of backlash on this!!

Three boys who admitted to torturing and killing a puppy this summer will be sent to treatment facilities as part of their punishment.

The boys, ages 12, 14 and 16, admitted to killing a dog named Tobey in August.

The three boys will each be sent to different treatment facilities for six to nine months and will be under intense supervision probation until the age of 18.

The case sparked response from across the world as the district attorney’s office received numerous letters, e-mails and faxes expressing shock and anger over the incident, County Attorney Elizabeth Murray-Kolb said in September. (KSAT)

I am beyond incensed at this!! Although at the time there was a call to prosecute the little monsters under Texas’ new animal cruelty laws, I understand that it could not be done since they were not in effect.  It was hoped though that the boys would be sentenced to jail until they were 19 which was an option.

Tobey“What not everyone understands is that we are not allowed to do that unless specifically told by the legislature,” Murray-Kolb said. “We must go by the laws that are in effect at the time the crime occurs. That goes for the Code of Criminal Procedure (which sets out rules for prosecution and trials), the probation rules, whatever. They’re to be followed pending upon the date of the offense, and we’re bound by that law.”

“We believe it’s in their best interest and in the community’s best interest to have them stay right there,” Kolb said.

The teens, ages 12, 14, and 16, could be put in jail until they turn 19, if they are convicted under charges of animal cruelty resulting in death.

Bill Whiting with his dog, EdnaBill Whiting’s little dog, Edna, disappeared on Halloween nite, October 31. He was visiting a friend and believes she slipped out the door when trick-or-treaters showed up.

When he notice the very friendly and trusting dog missing he scoured the streets for her calling her name. The next day he put up missing fliers with Edna’s picture, his cell phone number and a promise of a $500 reward for her safe return. He hoped that someone would bring Edna back “either out of the goodness of his heart or desire for the reward.”

Bill was devastated over his missing dog. Edna “was so gentle that Whiting took her to hospitals, where patients cheered up as they petted her. Edna had pointed bunny ears, warm brown eyes and was Whiting’s “constant companion” since he adopted her a decade ago. She had never known anything but kindness from human hands.”

“This is one of the most horrible things that has ever happened to me,” said Bill Whiting and describe how he made sure that Edna always wore her collar. Attached to her collar were her vaccination tags, showing she was a healthy dog, and her name tag with Whiting’s information, showing she was a loved dog. When Edna walked, her tags jingled.

Tortured Dog in PhillyIn August a pack of bullies, eight or so boys and young men found their sick amusement by torturing a 40-lb female, brindle boxer-mix. They doused her with accelerant, lit her on fire then proceeded to kick and beat the poor dog as she cowered in pain and fear.

Etana, as the beaten and battered girl was named by Phillies second-baseman Chase Utley and his wife, Jennifer - an SPCA volunteer - was cared for and nursed back to health by the SPCA staff and all medical costs were underwritten but the Utleys. Jennifer was at the shelter when the dog was brought in.

Etana, Jennifer said, is a name more befitting to a survivor, indicating spiritual strength and determination.

Burned Puppy What the hell is wrong with kids these days?? This is just unbelievable!

Police reported that a neighbor saw some teens carry some puppies into a house in the 7400 block of Faust on Saturday evening and then come running out when the house caught in fire yelling ‘Fire!’

Officer Jennifer Halfacer and partner, Officer Calvin Davenport were first on the scene.

“We heard the puppies squealing and screaming,” said Halfacer. “But we couldn’t goMiracle upstairs where they were because of the flames.”

Only one puppy survived, her four litter-mates, two of which were found ‘hog-tied’, didn’t survive the blaze.

The officers rescued the surviving 4 lb 8 week old black and tan pit bull puppy, dubbed Miracle, and took her to Almost Home Animal Rescue and then to the Oakland Veterinary Referral Services for treatment.

Daniel Charles HaskettYet once again sentencing for Daniel Charles Haskett, 20, of Didsbury, Alberta, Canada, the man who admitted guilt to the torture death of his mother’s dog, has been postponed. This time due to his lawyer resigning from the case over “ethical and professional concerns.”

Daniel Haskett, 20, of Didsbury pleaded guilty last spring to one count of animal cruelty and one count of obstruction of justice for initially lying to police about his role in the death of Daisy Duke, a Lab-border-collie cross.

He originally was to be sentenced in August, but that wasDaisy Duke delayed due to incomplete psychological tests and pre-sentencing reports.

His lawyer, Mark Takada, told provincial court yesterday that Haskett’s version of events to a psychologist “differed significantly” from the agreed statement of facts he signed back in May.

As a result, Takada withdrew from the case. He said outside the courthouse that he feared he may have been “a party to misleading the court” as to what happened.
