Man Brutally Kills Dog - Couldn’t Afford Surrender Fee - VIDEO
Stories like this and people like this just make me sick! Rather than to try to find any options or talk to the humane society, William Jenkins, 44, of Fort Myers, FL, decided to brutally bludgeon his dog to death because he “couldn’t afford the surrender fee.”
Jenkins actually took the dog to the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers but when asked to wait during the intake, he left. The last anyone saw the dog alive, he was in the front seat of Jenkins’ vehicle.
“He was hanging out of the window like a normal dog - tongue waving in the breeze and ears flapping,” said Aimee LaLonde, a shelter employee.
The next thing witnesses saw was Jenkins taking the dog into the wood, just a couple hundred yards down the road from the shelter, where he would have had a chance. When Jenkins game out of the woods, he was alone. He’d beaten the dog to death and buried its body in a shallow grave.
Momma Dog Gives Birth to Green Puppy - Video
Yup, a green puppy, no kidding, no dies, no paints, no special effects! In a shelter in Louisiana, the world’s first (?) green puppy. All the rest of the pups in the litter were normally colored.
Don’t worry, he’s healthy and actually pretty darn cute as you can see.

PA Governor Capitalizing on New Support for Puppy Mill Legislation
The harder people fight again puppy mills the more money opponents throw into the pot and they can afford to with the profits they reap off the bodies of abused and neglected dogs. Now, with the increased awareness of puppy mill atrocities due to Oprah’s involvement, legislation has a better chance than ever to actually move forward.
PA Governor Rendell has drafted and redrafted legislation to try to stem some of the abuses in the “Puppy Mill Capital” of the US. He has been faced by opposition every step of the way but he still continues to try to make thing better.
Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell is preparing to introduce a bill that would change the way commercial dog breeders do business in the state. He’s doing it with a new round of support brought on by Oprah Winfrey and her recent probe of puppy mills.
In video from Main Line Animal Rescue, you can see dogs packed into rabbit cages. The animals walk gingerly on wire flooring and feces cover the ground below.

Six Month Old Puppy Set on Fire - VIDEO
Someone set a six month old puppy on fire in a Lancaster neighborhood in CA and the quick thinking of a resident who heard the painful and panicked yelping of the puppy saved him from worse injuries than he received.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect who deliberately set a dog on fire in Lancaster late Monday night. The badly burned dog is currently being treated at a Lancaster animal shelter and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Tuesday offered a $5,000 reward in hopes of finding the assailant.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of East Lingard Street near Foxton Avenue shortly after 11:30 p.m after receiving a call from a neighbor, Lt. David Oliva of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station said.
A woman at the scene said that she and her stepson heard horrible yelping sounds, went outside and saw that a dog had been set ablaze in the front yard of the vacant house next door.
While totally engulfed in flames, the dog — a pit bull mix — started running in circles in the street. The woman then ripped off her jacket and threw it on the dog to put out the flames, Oliva said.
Dog Dragged, Left for Dead - VIDEO
This is Gunny, an 18 month old Boxer who was found by a motorist on the side of the road Wednesday near Harleton, TX. Someone tied Gunny to a car and dragged him, injuring severely, the rope was still around his neck. Authorities worry because he’s not the first dog found with these injuries and they fear he may not be the last.
“What has this animal done to deserve to be treated that way,” said Tyler animal rescue worker Denise Wilson. When the Boxer, named Gunny, was brought in to Allred Veterinary Clinic in Marshall, Wednesday workers could hardly believe it.
“My findings did reveal this dog had been dragged behind a car, which is a crime, with the injuries consistent with the feet being injured by trying to stop itself and then eventually dragging on the ground,” said Marshall Animal Control Officer Eva Sepulvado. Gunny has terrible wounds to his feet and flanks, but amazingly he survived.
“He has an exposed bone, which will most likely have to be amputated in this coming week,” said Veterinary Technician Mandi Little.
Those Cute Puppy Ads & Websites: Reality vs. Hype - Puppy Mills Exposed! VIDEO
Due to the latest rage influenced by Hollywood celebs and socialites, tiny, cute, cuddly puppies are in big demand. Big demand equals are big money makers and unscrupulous breeders are gonna make sure they get their green. Websites and ads are popping up all over the place and those cute little puppies can also be seen in any petstore that sells puppies to the unwary.
If you’ve ever browsed the internet maybe you’ve seen some of those websites with all the adorable pictures of puppies and read about how they’re raised in family homes, given love and attention, are happy and healthy. Those cute little puppy faces just steal your heart and who wouldn’t love a puppy raised with such love.
The thing is, the reality behind those websites and ads and even pet stores claiming the same thing is nothing but a bunch of BS and hype! What really lays behind those cute puppies, the harsh cruel reality is often hundreds of dogs and puppies stuffed in cages as you’ll soon see.
An undercover investigation showed these realities about a couple of breeders and also showed their carefully written, well crafted hype as the BS it was!
One of the kennels under investigation was World Kennel USA, a breeder near Palmdale. World Kennel USA’s website (which oddly enough is no longer up and running) claimed to be written by a girl named Kelly who said that she and her parents raise their dogs in their home in a loving atmosphere. They say their puppies are carefully bred–in the house with constant attention.
Investigation showed a picture much different than what was painted with the pretty words on the website, dogs in cage after cage after cage.
Update on NC Trooper Fired for Animal Abuse - Hear What are People Saying!!! VIDEO - PETITION
Since I wrote the story yesterday on NC Trooper, former Sgt. Charles Jones being fired for hanging and kicking his K-9 partner, Richo, I have been following the following the story and looking at what people are saying.
Sadly and to my disgust, it seems that many of his fellow troopers find no fault in the use of these abusive techniques and feel that kicking, beating and even choking are acceptable methods of training a K-9 partner.
Dog handlers for the North Carolina State Highway Patrol have stunned dogs with tasers, swung them by their leashes until they became airborne and hit them with plastic bottles full of pebbles.
None of that was an issue until a trooper used his cell phone to record a video of a sergeant kicking his police dog repeatedly while it was leashed to a loading dock, its hind legs just touching the ground.
What is wrong with these people, these officers of the law who are supposed to protect and serve?? How can they possibly not only condone, but also do the same thing to one degree or another?!
Many of the highway patrol members said they’ve seen similar training techniques as demonstrated in the cell phone video. Some said they have kicked dogs and some said, while they’ve never done exactly what Charles Jones did when he left Richo to hang for a few seconds, they did not consider it abusive. (NBC17)
Thankfully during the hearing State Attorney Ashby Ray did go through a list of other highway patrol members who were on record saying the treatment of Richo, as seen in the cell phone video, was “excessive.”So at least we can see that this mentality has not permeated the entire force!
Watch the new video and tell me what you think, then read on to see what the public, the people who are paying these men to protect and serve, is saying!
