Well, they’re at it again! Hundreds of abused and neglected dogs that have lived their lives in cramped, dirty cages are going on the auction block. Then the highest bidder will take them and continue the cycle of abuse. Back into a cage they will go, used for breeding until they have nothing left to give.
Do you now what goes on behind the closed doors? Watch the video below and look at the terrified, scared and dejected dogs being auctioned off like nothing more than inanimate objects. See the dirty secrets they don’t want you to see. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean it’s morally right or humane!!

This is just impossible to believe. How this is legal heaven alone knows. This doesn’t even happen here in darkest South Africa

@Virginia Greenwood-Warner - Virginia, it all comes down to the almighty buck!! Capitalism at its best. Not that I’m against making money but not on the beaten and broken backs of innocents.

Don’t leave me hanging by telling me a half of a story. Do these dogs sell for an amount that an old retiree can afford? Can they be rehabbed to family life? Are these auctions by invite or who can attend? Besides just ‘in Ohio’, where are these things? How can I help when apparently these auctions are ‘legal’ by law? …etc.
by Admin, on June 20 2008 @ 3:55 pm
@Walt - Sorry ’bout that Walt! The auction takes place at; 5860 Township Road 409, Millersburg, OH 44654. Dogs are sold for between $25 and up and yes, with time, love and patience, most, if not all these dogs can be rehabbed to family pets.
As for helping, write to your legislators and let them know what you think, that auction and puppy mills are an abomination. You can also attend protests which are organized at most every auction. They are peaceful but it helps to make people aware.
You can also contact Mary Shaver-O’Conner at BanOhioAuctions.com for more information. Her contact page is HERE Mary works tirelessly with others on legislation to end this.
