Dog Found with Mouth Duct Taped Shut

“Of my 27 years working with the animal shelter, this is the first time I’ve ever seen a dog with duct tape on its mouth,” said Manteca Animal Control Officer Cindy Schick .
Manteca PD called the Animal Control officer about a dog that was found chained up in a yard with duct tape wrapped around its muzzle. The dog was been like this for hours and due to the heat, was in severe distress, close to death. A dog has to be able to pant when it’s hot and this dog was breathing heavily but unable to pant due to the tape.
No one was home and Schick rushed the dog to the vet to have the tape removed. Neighbors said that dog owner, 57-year-old Jorge Tescano, also beat the dog for barking.
The dog is recovering well and is in foster care now. Tescano has been charged with two counts of animal cruelty but at this point have not specified whether it will be misdemeanor or felony charges.

Matt, I have to agree with you and the sad thing is that it looks like ti was the owner of the dog who did this! Some people just should not be allowed to own dogs!!

Larry, I’m quite sure that many people who read this story and see the picture of that poor dog feel the same way. Someone who would do this to a dog doesn’t deserve to have one and then you have to wonder if he had children and how they were treated too?
