Dogs with Leg Hacked Off Find Homes

Misty The two dogs found in Kansas City in August, dubbed Misty and Rocky, each found in separate locations in Kansas City’s Northeast area and about a week apart with one of their hind legs hacked off, have found new homes!

After a very careful screening of applicants, each dog was placed in a home with another three-legged dog in the thought that it would help them to adapt.

Sadly, even with the reward offered, no one has been apprehended in these horrible mutilation cases. Spay and Neuter Kansas City, appalledRottweiler with leg hacked off by the cruelty and fearful for the safety of other animals, raised money to help cover the medical expenses for both dogs and to beef up rewards for information leading to whoever hurt Rusty and Misty.

Anyone with information should call 816-513-9800

Someone out there knows something about the sick and twisted person whose doing this!! Is it you? Please, someone who could so callously hack the leg off of innocent and defenseless dogs is dangerous to anyone around them. Don’t let them continue to get away with these cruelties!!

As much as there are sick people in this world, there are good ones that step up and are taking care of these dogs.

Joan, it is nice to see stories like this that have a happy ending for those victimized pups. There are some wonderful people who really do love and care.

Now I’d like to see a not so happy ending for the person who did that to them!

I’m with you on that one. Sometimes I am ashamed of the human race.

These stories sicken me to the depths of my being. The fact that they happened so close to home shames me. On the other hand, the remarkable, selfless people of Spay and Nueter of Kansas City do an amazing job in this area. The majority of what they do is not even known to the public. I am so happy that you have given them credit here. Once again, thanks to you, Deanna.

Nice ending to this sad story.

What goes around comes around……a natural law proven time and time again. The perpetrators will NOT get away with this; even if NOT formally caught.

In response to the email from Gig, thankfully there are many people who “care” and go consistently “above and beyond” without notice. Those are the ‘humans’ to be proud of.

Hard to believe the “poor excuses for human beings” are part of the ’same’ human race. I sometimes wish we were back in the “Biblical old Testament days” where God’s punishment was “JUST and SWIFT” for evil doers. If it was, we wouldn’t need ‘jails’. And we think our world is better NOW? Something to really think about.

I can’t stop crying. I can not believe people can be so mean.
I have a hard time reading these web pages but I know I must. I must educate myself and my son, who also loves animals.
We the people must do something to stop this, but what??
